we are going into the third trimester with a mixed jar of feelings. mostly excitement and happiness. its so near yet so far. at the same time worried about whether we can cope when sarah arrives. we talk about it all the time, wondering who she will takes after. i hope she has flo's eyes though. but all we really want is for her to be healthy.
Finally, we are into the third trimester! which means another tiring phase for flo to go through, but hey, its the final phase, hopefully its not as bad as the first! from what i have observed, fatigueness and grouchiness comes more easily.
Symptoms of the third trimester are as follows;
On a side note, bought this for sarah today, at the takashimaya baby fair. flo calls it the 'ding ding dong'. the actual name for it is 'Winnie The Pooh Light-Up Cot Mobile'. Original retail was 90plus, we got it for 50plus, buy of the day!
introducing ethan! paid a visit to him during the cny holidays! hopefully he and sarah will become good friends!
did another makeover to our room despite the last makeover being slightly more than a year ago only! decided to get rid of the space gobbling platform bed and get something more simple and compact, the ikea hemidal bed. flo thinks it looks like a hospital bed though. lol.now we have much more walking space in our room, as well as cot space. thus the saturday was gone.
on sunday, managed to grab a braun ear thermometer for sarah, while loitering around marina mall before wai kim's wedding. flo is happy that she got a new dress, new bedsheet, new pillow case and new bolster case.
we actually planned to have a baby at least 1 year after our wedding, but somehow things got moved forward. we found out about the pregnancy on the second month of trying, and 2 days before our honeymoon to japan. at 5am in the morning, i found my wife prancing around in the room, flashing the pregnancy test kit in my face, asking me to look at the result. i could hardly open my eyes, but i didnt have to look to know, her expression and excitement said it all! she told me it was maternal instinct that made her woke up in the middle of the night to take a pregnancy test! amazing isnt it?
we were excited and yet worried at the same time about our upcoming trip. we were seriously contemplating abandoning the trip, as it is not advisable to travel in the first trimester. we were very lucky that dr fong agreed to see us at such short notice, we rush down the very next day to have the pregnancy confirmed and seeked his advices. eventually, we made the trip, came back safe and sound, though there was a major scare on one of the night at mt fuji. flo experienced some bleeding during the night and we panicked, got our guide panicking as well. luckily it turned out to be nothing but a scare. however, as a result of the scare, we couldnt fully enjoy the rest of the trip.
the rest of the first trimester wasnt very easy on flo, she was constantly feeling nausea and fatigued. but thanks to the TLC from her hubby, she made it through!
had a very busy weekend.
spent the whole saturday shopping for containers at toyogo, then went home to pack the baby stuffs neatly into the storeroom. due to the limited amount of space in our room, we are embarking on some major reshuffle/makeover; which is a big no no according to fervent followers of the chinese customs.
on sunday, the whole family, including our two furkids, went to pay respect to sarah's granny elizabeth, it was the eve of her birthday. we told her that on our next visit, she will be able to see sarah. :). love passing by the lawn cemetry, where there are lots of toy windmills spinning carefreely.
rest of the day was spent on packing and more packing, made another trip down to toyogo as we ran out of containers. we are still not done. more busy weekends to come!!!!! :0
The first few clothes we bought for Sarah. We actually have bags and bags of baby clothes given by our good friends. However we couldnt resist getting her some more new clothes. We are very fortunate to have so many helpful friends, grateful to everyone who has helped us and given valuable advices.
