Week 37 Check up

today, we had the longest appointment with dr fong. we were quite concerned when we learned that sarah had only picked up 100g over the past 2 weeks, bringing her weight to 2.5kg. its a tad light for a full term baby.

after dr fong heard from us that sarah has not been moving much for the past few days, he gave us a worried look and told us that it is not a good sign as sarah might not be receiving enough blood and nutrients via the placenta, thus she is not growing and moving much. dr fong then suggested conducting a fetal actocardiograph test. If the results confirms her inactiveness, sarah will be induced to birth as she has already reached full term.

Its a non-intrusive test to monitor sarah's movement, heartbeat and uterine contraction. upon hearing that, we were naturally worried about her while waiting to take the test and during the test, which takes 20mins. thankfully, her results are positive, her movements and heartbeats are still good! way to go sarah! dr fong told us not to worry about her weight, but to continue monitoring her movements. we are going back to see him again this coming monday. till then flo has to monitor sarah's kicking movements every morning.

fulfilling weekend for us.

went to the the robinsons 150 years birthday bash on saturday at the expo. got ourselves some pretty good bargains, like an ashworth polo tee at 50% and jean perry pillows at 1/3 of the retail price. the whole place was very crowded due to having several fairs being held concurrently.

finally decided on the pram to use for sarah, we bought a pink pram with light grey trimmings. totally love the look of it!

attended hiro's 1 month baby shower today. took a whole chunk of pictures! he is such a handsome boy!

We only have weeks!

we are out of months to countdown! into the weeks now, less than 4 weeks to go! thats very fast isnt it! before we know, we will become parents already! sarah has grown another 500grams to go up to 2.4kg.

took the furkids to botanic gardens yesterday afternoon for a walk, as we thought we wouldnt have much time to bring them out once sarah is here. the weather was unbearable, walked from the main gate, made a turn at the end of the swan lake and went home! managed to capture some nice pics of them despite the short duration at the garden. we ended our trip with a visit to the foodcourt for our 'must eat' seafood murtabak, sad to say the standard of the food has drop tremendously!

Text Twirl

flo is currently addicted to this text twirl game, an application found inside facebook. i kinda got her started when she saw me playing. after that, she's been hogging my pc every day and night! i must say she is getting very good at it! at least it distracts her away from the discomfort of pregnancy while she is so concentrated on the game.

Broadway Beng 3

was rewarded at the end of hectic hectic april by flo, she brought me to the comedy musical, Broadway Beng 3! its a pity we couldn't make the show on time, went in 10 mins late, and the spotlight was on us, having sebestian announcing our entrance, how embarrassing! our favourite segment was the part where he summarised and localised the sound of music into 10 hilarious mins. we are definitely coming back for the next show, the show was more hokkien than we expected though.
